E-commerce volunteer vacancy

Digital marketplace

Jewish Care Scotland is looking for organised members of the community to support us with our online sales by listing and selling a range of donated items on various online marketplace platforms. This will help us raise additional funds to provide care and support to the Jewish community, and to recycle and reuse pre-loved items.

Location: Jewish Care Scotland, The Walton Community Care Centre, May Terrace, Giffnock.

This voluntary role will play a key role in sorting through donated items, or items we no longer need, identifying if anything would be suitable to be redistributed to the community through local sales or ‘bartering’ pages on Facebook etc.  Maybe you already know your way around online selling platforms or maybe it’s something you want to find out more about, either way you will be supported in this role to make sure you develop the skills and experience needed to become an expert online lister. Volunteers will be guided by the our Senior Support Worker and Communications Officer.

JCS launches 165 for 165 Appeal

JCS has officially launched our ‘165 for 165’ fundraising appeal where we will be asking 165 supporters to raise £165 throughout the year to mark our anniversary. We hope that your support this year will go a long way in securing the future of our services for many years to come for the Jewish Community in Scotland.

We are looking to get 165 people to get involved whether that is through celebration fundraising, one-off donations, or even through taking on a personal challenge.

Our year has already been kickstarted by a few keen supporters and we hope that the interest in our campaign continues to grow throughout the rest of the year.

To help this dream become a reality JCS is also launching a fundraising booklet of 65 unique fundraising ideas to go alongside our appeal, as well as advice on how to get media attention for your fundraiser, and how to run an online fundraising page. You can download it here at 165 for 165

We will be launching a segment on our social media that asks our supporters to think of how they would fundraise and we will be publishing what we receive throughout the coming months.

Having already heard from people getting in touch with unusual ideas we cannot wait to hear from you.

To talk to us about getting involved with the appeal you can follow the link to our Sign Up Form, go to our donation page, text ‘Donate jcarescot 165’ to 88802 or alternatively email Anya at anyak@jcarescot.org.uk
