Jewish Care Scotland offers grants to support winter costs
Jewish Care Scotland are offering one-off Chanukah and winter fuel grants to individuals and households with limited income who are struggling to meet additional costs associated with Chanukah and the cold winter months.
JCS Deputy Chief Executive, Robyn Friel, said of the grant, “With changes to eligibility for the government winter fuel payment this year thousands of people will no longer qualify for this benefit The JCS winter fuel grant aims to bridge the gap for people who relied on this payment when they might need it most. These grants will help towards high food and energy costs through the winter months as well as ensuring that finance isn’t a barrier to anyone celebrating Chanukah,during such challenging times it’s important for everyone to celebrate the light and take part in Chanukah festivities with the community.”
This is a one-off grant for households with limited income. Members of the community are invited to get in touch for more information or to apply for a grant by calling Jewish Care Scotland on 0141 620 1800 or emailing hello@jcarescot.org.uk.
